Vin shrugged. "They're going to be in pain tomorrow, I think. It'll be like a pewterdrag."

"Pewterdrag?" The catgirl tilted her head but started to push the stringed tuft around again.

"Yeah. Using a small amount of pewter and trying to extend it for a long time." She winced. "Its painful the next day, especially once you've realized that you ran for twelve hours at the speed a horse can do."

Cat winced at the thought. "Ouch... Sounds painful." She shook her head at the thought before looking around. "Need any help searching for those metals?"

"Ah yes. Thank you." Vin looked around. "Maybe Sazed can spare me one of his minds.. I can burn them Allomatically." She shrugged. "He's going to need all his pewterminds though... and that's what Kelsier and I will need once he gets done with.. that."

The catgirl stood up and started lookin around. "And what kind of metals are you looking for, exactly?"

"Well," she said. "Pewter for one. Then steel and iron. Maybe some tin. Can't hurt to have it. Atium too. A whole lot of atium."

The catgirl nodded and started to look around. Her agile and flexible body helps her reach objects no one else can.

"I'm not sure what atium is, but I can get you the rest of that," the Doctor said, walking up behind them. Vin smiled. "Okay." The Doctor walked over to the machine. "What alloys?" "All pure, except for pewter. It needs to be 90% pewter, 10% iron." The Doctor nodded, keying some things in.

Cat shifted back to her human form and stretched her limps. "Missed that body..." She muttered to herself and watched the Doctor.

"How does it feel to shift?" Vin asked curiously.

Cat shrugged. "The first time I shifted was extremely painful, I felt as if all my bones were breaking or splitting. After that it's nothing interesting." She said plainly. She couldn't really explain the pain of her first transformation.

"Ah." It did sound extremely painful. Vin glanced at the machine, shocked to see that it had replicated a ton of metal flakes, each type seperated in a bowl. She smiled, thanking the Doctor as she tested each one out.

The catgirl smiled lightly and sat down on the floor. It seemed she was thinking of something. What was she thinking of?

Once the metals had met her expectations, Vin looked to Cat. "I know that smirk. Kelsier uses that smirk all the time. What is it?"

"Hm?" She looked up at the girl. "Oh, nothing, I'm just thinking of some stuff. Don't worry." She smiled again, her long, slender tail curling around her pale legs.

Vin shrugged, but didn't pry harder. She took out a vial and began to fill it with a mix of all the metal, then rummaged around for something. She found some vodka, tasted it, shrugged, and used it as her liquid base.

The catgirl turned her attention back to the floor. She missed her family, sure but she knew they were okay. She just... Wanted to hear their voices again. Her brother's grumpyness mostly.

Vin continued until the rest of the vials were full. She smiled, giving a content sigh. "At least we won't run out."

Cat nodded. "Sounds great." Said the catgirl and started to push her inky black tail around as if she was playing with it.

Cat suddenly ducked right before a glass bottle crashed on the wall behind her. She was ready to swear at Kelsier and Dante in the kitchen before flattening her ears at them. "Idiots..."

Vin could hear Kelsier talking jibberish, probably Eastern Street Slang, to Dante, and she shorted. "How much have they dranken?"

Cat shook her head slowly. "I don't think I wanna know..." She said with a cringe at the thought.

"He's speaking Eastern Street Slang," Vin said with a shake of her head. "I didn't even think he knew how."
