A feminine growl of frustration was heard in the silence of the hot desert. "Hey Cat, let's go hunt down a demon together! It'll be fun! Well, guess what, it's freaking not!" Shouted the 16 year old girl angrily, inky black feline ears and tail twitching constantly to keep the crunchy sand out of them.

The tall, white-haired man walking beside her rolled his blue eyes at her. "Relax, we'll get out of here soon... And I didn't know that guy had teleporting abilities!" He looked down at the catgirl.

Cat glared at him with her bright yellow pair of feline eyes and sat down on the hot sand stubbornly. "I'll die from the heat." Complained the girl again while taking off her black leather jacket to reveal her black bikini bra. "I swear, as soon as we get out of this Hell, I will put your head through a wall!" She growled angrily at him, inky black hair falling onto her pale, fragile-looking shoulders. Even if she looked so weak and fragile, she was as fierce as a wild cat.

Kelsier was dizzy. The sand was blistering against his skin. The sun hot, hotter than he ever felt before. He groaned, coughing, a weak feeling starting to spread across his entire body. His green eyes widened as he mentally reached inside himself, looking for his metal reserves. Nothing. No wonder. He gagged, his thoat burning for water. Why was the sun yellow and hot? The sky blue? Even though he wasn't thinking straight, he could tell that the air was clean, free of ash. Just.. hot.

He struggled to his feet in the sand, brushing his hand through his blond hair. The Mistborn stood there, quite in the middle of no where, dazed and confused. He must be hallucinating. Must have gotten too drunk last night. He'd wake back up in Clubs' shop soon, perfectly safe and away from this.. madness.

Reaching for one of three vials at his side, Kelsier decided to restore his metals. He'd have to be very careful with them.. he had no idea how to get more here. If this even was a place. He lifted the vial to his lips, draining its clear and gainy contents in one gulp. He felt for his pewter reserves, and began to burn it. The world grew less dizzy, his thirst less disorienting, and his legs stopped shaking from the heat. Now, where was he?

The Doctor was, well, being the Doctor. He wasn't one for standing around doing nothing. So, on this fine day, he was flying around in the TARDIS. It was sort of lonely now, and he still ached from Rose but... he was doing his best to forget that.

The TARDIS spun and he gave a happy whoop, loving the feeling of it falling through time and space. So alive, so free! Everything was so wonderful! Then it stopped.

He yelped as he was tossed off balance, the console sparking. He had crashed. Well, that wasn't good.

The feline girl growled angrily at her friend. "I'm not going anywhere!" Her feminine voice, screechy from anger.

Dante sighed and looked around. "Fine, guess I'll just look around for any kind of clues about where on earth we are..."

Cat glanced at him, her eyes as bright as the heating sun. "We're on Hell, obviously, all that fur is killing me!" She shouted louder, flopping onto the hot sand.

Kelsier began to walk. He had no destination. But he had to find a town, shelter, anything. The sun beat down on him, and he rolled up the sleeves of his white shirt, exposing his scarred arms to the world. He hated showing them. People then would know who he was, the Survivor of Hathsin. He hated the title. Kelsier, the Great Lord of the Mist. By the forgotten gods, he was only a man. A Mistborn, but a man nonetheless. Not a figure of worship like the skaa servants and beggers saw him as.

It was hot here. Too hot. He sighed, burning steel. Instantly, blue lines only visible to him formed, going towards sources of metal. Nothing, save for the vials and coinpouch he carried at his side. A Mistborn never wore metal. He sighed, extinguishing it. This was hopeless. He was dead out here. Then he stopped, stiffening. Voices? Faint, yet there. He wouldn't dare burn tin to hear them, however. He would kill himself from the heat and thirst. Like pewter enhanced the body, tin enhanced the senses. The heat would be too much.

Despite his protesting throat, Kelsier called out, raising his voice. "Hello?"

Cat's inky black feline ears suddenly perked up at a faint voice, making her whole body sit up on the heating sand.

Dante raised an eyebrow at his friend's sudden reaction. "Cat?" He simply said, crouching on the sand with his arms resting on his knees.

The girl instantly stood up and started walking towards the noise, she didn't care for the sand inside her shoes or the burning feeling in her throat from the hot wind right now. She wanted to know the origin of the noise.

Kelsier coughed, choking on the clean air. It was too clean. Where was the ash that normally covered the sky, making the sun red. Why was the sky blue anyway? It was weird, unnatural. It made him nervous.

The sand seemed to go on forever. Heck, it might. Who knows? He stopped walking again, glancing at the horizon. He had to squint.. there was a figure there. Damn it all. He burned tin. The sudden increase of light was staggering, causing him to yelp in sudden pain. He rubbed his eyes, the pain in his throat increasing and the heat nearly choking him. Kelsier cursed himself again, opening his eyes despite their protests. There. It was a figure. He extinguished tin, and all the sensations grew back to normal. He was breathless, and horribly tired, but because of the pewter he hadn't passed out. Yet.

Cat took a step back at the sudden light in the desert's distance. "Hello?" Was all she said, her once complaining, screechy voice now a soft stroke on the hot wind.

She suddenly stopped as she felt more sand plant itself into her hot pink shoes. She had to take them off but the sand? It'd burn her feet pretty bad if it had the temperate she thinks it had. With a shake of the head she started to walk again, she wanted -no- she needs to know the origin of the noise. Her instict tells her so.

(There's nothing visible when burning metals, its all internal.)

Kelsier saw the figure coming closer. Against the will of his body, he walked forward, ignoring the faint pain in his legs, the burning on his bare feet. He reached for his glass dagger at his side, ready to fight if need be. He had his other hand on the coin pouch. Regarless of a fight or not, he was almost out of pewter. It burned so fast. Once it was out, he wouldn't be able to last much longer out here.

He continued towards the figure, his dark, tattered Mistcloak trailing behind in the sand.

(Oh, my mistake then *Headdesk*)

Cat head tilted to one side, her inky black hair falling on her left shoulder, following her head's movements. Suddenly, a hiss escaped her throat as the figure moved to touch something, her hiss feral like her feline nature. Her tail fur fluffed up in an attempt to make her look bigger even with her small, agile figure.

As Kelsier moved closer, he saw that the figure was a small girl. With a cat tail. And cat ears. He gazed at her curiously, taking his hand from the dagger but not dropping his guard. So much like Vin.. where even was Vin?

He looked down at her, raising an eyebrow. "Well, I guess we're both stuck out here." He gave her his signature grin. "Who, and what, are you?"

As soon as she heard him talk, her tail went back to it's normal state, silky and thin. With a cross of her pale arms she looked at him. "Talk about yourself, I'm not stuck anywhere." She lifted her head, trying to act all sassy even if her ears were flat, showing her exhaustation. "You answer first and then I will." She looked back at him, her bright yellow feline eyes scanning him.

Kelsier shrugged. "I guess I'm on my own then, unless someone wants to take me. Of course.. I don't see much shelter around here." His tone was amused, hardly timid or hostile. "I'm Kelsier. Just call me Kell." He held out a scarred hand. "Yourself?"

Cat raised an eyebrow as she watched his hand for a moment, inspecting the scars on it before shaking it with her own. "I'm Cat." She looked up at him, she didn't like her true name. Who would name their neko daughter Kitty? Obviously some parents who liked to annoy their child. "As for what I am, I'm a neko, a cat/human hybrid but I have cat/werewolf blood instead."

"Cat?" Kelsier grinned. "Your parents got creative, I see." He was curious.. was she some sort of creation by the Lord Ruler, like the Kandra and the Koloss? It sounded like something he'd do, taking an innocent girl and making her.. different. "So.. where are we anyway? You said you weren't lost, so you must know where we are."

Cat flattened her ears lightly at his remark for her name. "My parents were never creative anyway." She fought an annoyed hiss back and replied. "Well, we're at a desert, obviously, I just gotta figure out what desert..." She muttered, her eyes scanning the area around them.

"Oh. So you are lost!" He looked amused. "If you can't give me the name of the location..." He turned away, looking around. "Its really bland here. Too hot. And why is the sky blue anyway?" Kelsier looked up at it. "Yesterday it was red."

Cat stared at him with a weird and unimpressed expression. "The sky always has been blue. I'm not lost! I just need to look around a little and I'll tell you where we are! Hopefully..." She trailed off at the end, her inky black ears flattening slowly as if she got sad.

Kelsier laughed. "You're mad. The sky has always been dark and red. Covered in ash mostly. Especially when the ashmounts are active." He paused, looking down at her, noticing her change in tone. "Hey, we'll get out of this. I know it." He was always optimistic, even when things looked so dark. He was often asked why he smiled so much. It was because that, even though Lord Ruler, the tyrant ruling his world, could take away everything from him.. his freedom, his shelter, his money, his metal, even his wife, he couldn't take away Kelsier's pleasure and laughter.

Cat shook her head. "You're the mad one, there's not any ashmounts or whatever here. But it sounds pretty scary to always have a dark sky." Her tail curled up lightly at the thought. "Talk about an optimistic fellow." She glanced up at him before turning towards the direction of her half-demon friend. "Hm, I wonder if Dante knows where we are..." She muttered quietly.

"Oh, its actually comforting." He paused. "And the mist that covers the streets and fields at night.. its home." Kelsier sighed. It felt so weird here, in the bright daylight, wearing a Mistcloak. It was used mostly at night by Mistborn, offering protection in the mist. No nobleman in his right mind would bug a Mistborn. Most were frightened by them.

"Who's Dante?" Kelsier asked, looking in the direction she was.

Cat glanced over her pale shoulder at him. "He's a friend of mine, but he's annoying as hell..." She growled low, remembering it was all his fault. "I swear, as soon as I find a rock, I'll put his head through it." Her tail flicked annoyingly. "Maybe he found something. Come on." She started walking towards the direcion of her friend.

Kelsier laughed. "But the annoying ones are the best." Nevertheless, he followed her, burning steel again. The invisible lines appeared again, but nothing had changed. There was no metal. He resisted the urge to flick a coin down and push off of it to get a better view. That was what steel did. It pushed metal. He could lock onto a line and push it. If the object weighed less than him, it would go flying. If the object weighed more or had nowhere to go, he would go flying. A skillful steel burner could drop a coin on the ground and use it as an anchor, and "fly" through the air. It wasn't like flying, though. More like falling in the wrong direction.

But, Kelsier resisted this urge. He wasn't going to tell Cat about his powers. Not yet.

Cat rolled her feline eyes. "Not this one, he downright needs killing." She glanced over her shoulder at him again, tilting her head for a moment before turning her attention back to the what seemed endless desert. She wanted to shift to her cat form so bad right now, just to strech her limbs and maybe lick her fur but she was pretty sure Kell would try too harm her if he found out her cat form was nothing but a human-sized cat with a forked tail. Then again, the heat was too much for her to handle, if she shifted now her fur would exhaust her even more than right now.

"How far away is he, do you think?" Oh, how he wanted to throw that coin. If he couldn't use tin to see his surroundings.. plus, they might find shelter that way. But Kelsier refrained.
